So what exactly will Armani be doing in the virtual game. Well, as style.com reports, he is opening his own virtual store, where online citizens will be able to buy virtual Armani clothing using virtual currency which is called the Linden Dollar. That’s a lot of virtuals!

Plus, if you are lucky enough you might just find Armani himself walking around the store. If you would like to have a look at his store, you will have to join SecondLife.com to do so.

Perhaps this will signal other designers from all around the world to set up shop in Second Life? I haven’t joined yet, and don’t plan on doing so anytime soon. But if you have, please comment and let us know whats the latest fabric trend in Second Life?

Is it just me, or does Armani look a little buffed up for his age?

Tierra Del Forte, has started a new denim line called of Del Forte Denim. The distinguishing part about this line is that it uses 100% Organic Cotton. Organic Farming is a method of farming where no pesticides or any GMO seeds are used, the process is completely clean and safe for the environment unlike most modern farming techniques.

The line was shown at two recent fashion events: Walk the Talk and Eco-Petal. Walk the Talk, in June, was an eco-fashion gala in San Francisco that brought together social entrepreneurs, visionaries, and celebrities to encourage global leadership and a sustainable future for our planet. Eco-Petal, which recently wrapped up, was a 10-day fashion show and boutique event in Los Angeles for a small group of eco-fashion designers like Tierra. The main purpose of the event was to draw attention to the world of eco-fashion and to show people that caring about the environment doesn’t mean compromising your sense of style.

Tierra has been working in denim design since she graduated design school in 1999. The garments are sewn and finished in Los Angeles, a fashion-forward city that is a leader in anti-sweatshop legislation and enforcement, as well as being home to the most cutting-edge wash development facilities in the country.

Tierra says “I wanted to achieve my dream of creating my own premium denim line while protecting the environment and the farmers.”

Angel Jeans is a jeans design company that develop, manufacture, market and distribute high-fashion premium jeans and other apparel. The parent company, Hip & Hip, Inc., was founded and incorporated in 2001 by Art and Jung Park, a husband and wife team of renowned fashion industry experts, who had a vision of creating an exclusive line of premium jeans which offers the perfect fit, unique design, sculpting fabric and special washing technique.

A long time favourtie accessory ‘the bag’ is constantly being reinvented. But this time the reinvent has caught the imagination of whoever comes across it.

RagBag is a Netherlands company that is making waves with environmentalists and fashion conscious youth at the same time. How is this possible? Well, the bags known as Ragbags are fashionable products made from recycled plastic bags collected by ‘ragpickers’ in the slums of New Delhi, India.

Plastic rags are collected, washed, dried, and separated by colour. The plastic bags then go into a machine, which presses them into thicker and more durable sheets. Dye and Ink free about 60 plastic bags are required to make one sheet.

After that cutting, lining, stitching and moulding are done to the raw product to be crafted into various products.

So far, about 50 ragpickers and growing everyday have gotten jobs thanks to this project. A very nice idea to make a cleaner and greener world for everybody and provide livelihoods to people and increasing their standard of living.
