Wow, times flies when you’re thinking fashion! Especially since they always show collections for the future. Vera Wang recently showcased her wedding collection in New York for Spring 2009. So if you’re planning on getting married then, Vera has got designs on you.

Details like pleated organza ruffles, floral corsages on one shoulder, fractal-like spiraling hand-cut floral trains, hand-pleating or asymmetrically draped necklines and asymmetrically placed bows gave a different edge to the traditional bridal silhouettes. The designs showed both luxury and modernism in wedding gowns. Something that is not very easily achieved.

Vera says -

“Making an entrance is important, but the exit is just as important, it offers even more opportunity for drama. For 50 percent of the wedding, the bride is viewed from the back, whether during the ceremony or for the first dance.”
