The French president, Nicholas Sarkozy, will be honoring Giorgio Armani with the Legion of Honor, one of France’s most highest medals on June 30th. Armani, who will be in town then to show his latest Armani Prive collection, will probably receive his recognition at the presidential residence in the Elysees Palace.

The president’s wife is expected to attend as well, though it has not yet been made public as to what she will be wearing.

Armani has really come far in his career, starting off as a window dresser and building a $3 billion fashion empire. He certainly deserves it.
